DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing is a fantastic way to get vibrant, long-lasting designs on a wide range of fabrics — but like any specialty print, a little care goes a long way. Whether you ordered a custom tee, hoodie, or tote from us, follow these easy care instructions to keep your prints looking bold and fresh.
Wash With Care
- Wait 24 hours before washing your item for the first time.
- Always turn the garment inside out before washing.
- Wash with cold water only — hot water can fade the design.
- Choose a gentle or delicate cycle to reduce wear on the print.
- Skip the Harsh Stuff
- Avoid bleach or fabric softeners — these can break down the adhesive and ink.
- Do not dry clean your DTF item.
- Skip harsh scrubbing or brushes on the print area.
Dry the Right Way
Air drying is best.
If you use a dryer, stick with a low tumble setting — and again, keep it inside out!
Ironing?
Avoid ironing directly on the print. If needed, place parchment paper or a pressing cloth over the design and use a low setting.
Why It Matters
Caring for your DTF prints properly ensures the artwork stays vivid and crisp for as long as possible — even after dozens of wears and washes. We’re proud to print high-quality, durable designs, and your care helps extend their life.
